Earlier 24% Tax was imposed on Mobile Load or Scratch cards recharge with the order of the court. But According to sources, Customers claimed that they are receiving 89 Rs. on Recharge of 100 Rs. instead of 76 Rs.
Remember that Court had terminated the tax on the mobile recharge and customers appreciated the Court’s decision. This Order was initiated by three-bench members, headed by Former Chief Justice Saqib Nisar.
The Supreme Court had ordered the restoration of all tax on mobile service. After that customers were receiving 76 Rs. on every recharge of 100 Rs. It means 24% tax is applied on recharge.
Now customers have reported that they are now receiving 89 Rs. with the recharge of 100 Rs. it means tax is reduced from 24% to 11%. Of course, this is positive news for the public. Without any notice from the Government, this tax is reduced and mobile phone users have appreciated it.
