What is ROM1, ROM2, ROM3 and EXTCSD

Extcsd is a file that contains partitions information and boot information. After formatting EMMC (Factory Format / Repartitioning) you need the “*.Extcsd” file to restore its ROMs locations and boot configuration. ROM1 is for Userdata (System Software, Firmware, AP File) and ROM2 and ROM3 are for boot partitions. There is another Physical partition called RPMB which contains the phone’s critical modem data and Highly secured data.
